What do you think about leveling the front end by cranking the tortion bar and how to do it ?

You tighten the bolts on the back end of the bars evenly.If you do this,go have your front end aligned afterwards and don't crank them all the way up.

If you crank them up too far your ride will really start to suffer.  You may notice when you look at the adjustment bolts that they may not be even from the factory.  Don't try to even them up, but just turn them the same number of turns on each side.

on my2500 ld excab,it seemed like 1 full turn of the bars = 1/2" of height.I went up 4 turns,2" and it did get a little rougher,but with the plow on it sits much better now,and the plow frame is much higher off the ground now.Since i work PT at a shop,I just realigned it,the toe was off a hair,thats it.I drop mine back down in the spring,so when im pulling my trailer,the front of the truck isnt topped out ,and it sits even.

So i went for 3 turns and it look much more like a 4X4 now and so far no trouble with whell alignement.

My next project now, is to add nerf bar to hide the frame.

Norm,how much did 3 turns raise it? does it wander at all now?

i did not mesured, but i say it is about 1 1/2" for 3 turn and at this stage it run find so i went 1 more turn and i could feel the over tension on the bar when hitting bump and took off 1/2 turn. Conclusion 3 1/2 turn will get your truck level without sacrifice riding confort.

Mine are up 10 turns in my 1500. Rides a little rough but with an alignment, all is well!!
