Brake pedal questions ?

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hey guys - I posted awhile back about my buddies 01 Dmax Dually and his brake issues.....so far we have replaced everything !! - just about.

Front & Rear pads

Front Rotors

Ebrake pads

Front & Rear Calipers

Front anti-lock sensors

and flushed about a gallon of brake fluid through the system.

The anti-lock problem is fixed - but the brake pedal is still mushy.

My last guess is that the powersteering pump isnt pushing enough fluid through system ???

The truck only has 42k on it.....do you guys think that may be the problem ??

Or do you have any other suggestions ?

Thanks

I cant believe any of you GM Tech have never experienced this problem ??

Any ideas or suggestions would be great - before we repace the pump !!

You'll need to bring it to the dealer and have them do an automated bleed procedure on it to bring the pedal up to where you want it.

If there still is a concern you may need a new booster. (I've only seen one of these go bad) Again the dealership will have to perform the bleed procedure.

Hope this helps.
