Hemi shot me down

Hey guys,

I got out run by a Hemi Crew cab tonight. But in stead of just admitting defeat I blame it on my predator tuner for not automatically installing the 125 mph spd limiter. Okay it is my fault . The one time I really needed it, I didnt have it.

It happened like this: I turned on the road that I live on and this Ram which had been behind me since I left town, starts checking his reflection on my tailgate. So I lay it down and start to pull away with my HIGH REVING NO TORQUE 4.8L V-8 and what happens at 108mph? It shuts down, he gets closer, It shuts down again, he is about 1 1/2 lengths behind, It shuts down and I let him pass. But I stay in it after he passes just to let him know I am still there, and every time my truck shuts down he pulls further away. Made me want to

Does any one know how fast a Ram hemi will run before it shuts down, does it shut down?

I know one thing though.... My truck will run 125mph now. So the next time our paths cross he better WATCHOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neither have I and my mod list isn't nearly as impressive as yours is.

 

Of course I did start with a 6.0 instead of a 4.8 like mazingo did so I know the "massaging" is worth a little more.

To clear it up so you guys dont think I am reckless , the term road was use to refer to the county highway I live on. Which is one of the fastest in the county.

I also believe the hemi has been tuned on , because even when he did pass I was still going ove 100 and he moved by pretty quick, I believe he was going about 115 or so.

Any way the next time he gets behind me he better be able to top 125mph because I know my truck will bury the needle in 3RD gear thats right 3RD! And I aint afraid to take the hemi by his horns and shove his head in the dirt.

I dont really have any brand favorites, i like chevy, dodge and ford all the same, but i have driven the silverado with the 4.8 and i do not think they are that fast or powerful and the hemi will easily destroy them, as it will also the 5.3, even though the 5.3 is a good engine. even with your mods, the hemi could have easily passed you because i was riding in my friends hemi that is stock, and that thing flies, we blew past everything and everyone like it was nothing....until my neighbor in his viper pulled up lol

My Hemi QC Ram cuts out at around 104. The last time I heard Superchips is the only tuner out for it. They are the only one, or if there is more it has takein them a few years because unfortunitly Dodge made it almost impossible to crack the PCM.
