Anyone with bed divider ideas?

I have a Bedrug and a cap (shell) on my truck and would like to portion off the last coupl feet of the bed so that thing don't move forward (such a groceries etc).

 

I was super pleased to be able to get the bed x tender direct from GM.  That's right, it is made by Amp Research (they also make it for Steel Horse) and is a direct fit with NO HOLES TO DRILL.  It is awesome....except, don't count on using it if you have a shell.  It comes in contact with the posts ton the shell that the back window clamps onto when it is shut. By the way getting it from GM was way less money too.  I called the MFG and they said "sorry".

 

So, rather than just cutting a 2 x 8 and sliding it in the slots, what can I do to make it cosmetically pleasing as well as functional?

I would say either cut a piece of plywood and wrap it in material simliar in looks to what you have in your bed now, or maybe just buy one of those boards at Lowes or someplace similar that is used for shelves and cut it to fit.

I've seen bars that extend to fit across, Gates that work on the same principle as the bars but will stop smaller loads, and also nets that hang in the back.  If you want more info or pics on one of them I'd be glad to look them up for you.

I've seen some of these and they work very well.  I don't know how tight they will hold on the carpeted bed liners though.  Some have rubber feet, so I would think those would hold good.
