backspacing

i have 265/75/16 on my 01 1500 non hd chevy z71 truck now and am planning on getting some 285's but before i do i am going to get some 16x8 eagle alloys with 4 backspacing. will this work or will it rub. or will i have to do some triming. i have no idea about abouit this and i want to get some new wheels. if this will not work i am open to other ideas.

I had the same set-up on an HD2500 and I had to turn up the torsion bars and do some trimming in the wheel wells. I think you are gonna have to do some work to get them to work. I would go with a rim closer to the 4.5 " backspacing. It will help with the rubbing....
