Super Charger Install

9 November, (36 days til Xmas Vacation)

 

My speed shop orders my Whipple Supercharger, after Whipple says they can have it to the shop in 5 to 7 days.

 

16 November, (29 days til Xmas Vacation)

 

No Whipple yet...

 

23 November, (22 days til Xmas Vacation)

 

No Whipple yet... (add we didnt have this part excuse)

 

30 November, (15 days til Xmas Vacation)

 

No Whipple yet... (add we didnt have that part excuse)

 

7 December, (8 days til Xmas Vacation)

 

Kit arrives at shop, 3 weeks (not days, WEEKS) after they said it would

 

8 December, (7 days til Xmas Vacation)

 

Day One, this better work...

 

9 December, (6 days til Xmas Vacation)

 

Day Two. I get a call and Whipple sent the wrong belts. Almost $5000 for a kit and they sent the wrong &%$$%*%% belts. I would have paid another $50 to have every combination of belt sent.

 

They wanted to truck them down, 3 to 5 day delivery, but they are being air freighted after the Speed Shop talked them into it. For once Im actually glad I live in California. (dont worry, that feeling will go away)

 

Gee, thats nice of them.

 

**** EDIT UPDATE ****

Tomorrow, 10 December, (5 days til Xmas Vacation)

 

1PM Belt in, new spark plug wire being delivered from Chevy Garage, should receive call by 3PM saying its done.

 

(and this better work...)

Dang, that sucks....But look at the bright side....You have a supercharger. :flag:

 

 

Most of us only dream.....So.... :banghead:

0 to 60 dropped to about 7.5 sec and I never got a real clean launch. The Whipple pulls like mad 20MPH and up, but it just doesnt have the low end guts a Radix would have had.

 

But boy, when I dropped the hammer to pass someone on a country road the power was there and there fast!
