tick click from door striker

Hey guys, my drivers door makes a creaky tick noise from the drivers door striker. I am positive this is the location of the noise. Anyone else had this. Should I just adjust the striker a bit? It is an extended cab and I am talking about the striker attached to the 3rd door.

I had the same noise on my 2004 Sierra. Here's what I did

You have 3 strikers for the 3rd door. One on the headliner, one on the 3rd door itself, and 1 on the floorpan.

ONLY ADJUST THE FLOOR-PAN STRIKER

 

Adjust it inwards about an eighth-of-an-inch and you'll be good to go. I kept adjusting my upper and lower at the same time, and got me nowhere. So I adjusted the upper back to factory location, then I adjusted the lower in a little bit, and the noise was GONE.
