No you probably can't.  4 low is meant for really muddy or sandy conditions.  If you want to, you can launch in 4 hi, then switch to 2 hi.

The reason I asked because I know it makes a big difference in bottom end racing. I got beat by an accord playing around at a red light. i pulled up beside him at the next one and dropped it in 4 lo. he looks over and grins like he is going to smoke me again. I jumped out to a length off the line and he could not catch me before the next light. He wouldn't look my way after that.

The rev limiter would be the least of my worries if I were trying to race in 4Lo

Yeah, he going to screw something up using 4 lo.

absolutely, if you do it all of the time.

4-lo does go faster than 35 mph. especially if you change your rev-limiter and shift points. 4-hi is the same gear ratio as 2 wheel hi. it wont help unless you spin. I am sure you have noticed these trucks dont smoke the tires stomping it off of the line in 2 wheel hi so it doesnt help unless you are spinning.
