265/70/17R BFG A/T ko's

I dont know squat to a brick wall when it comes down to tires sizes. I came across a good deal here in Phoenix. I bought a set of 265/70/17R's for $150 locally. They have about 70-75% thread still left on them. I'm planning on buying some Eagle series 194's 6lug w/4.5bsm. I wanted to ask you guys if a lil lift is in order for me to mount these tires-n-wheels on my rig. Its a 97Tahoe 4X4 4Door. If the tires don't fit, I'll most definetely do a 4"lift on it to get ready for some 33"BFG AT's by late 2005-early 2006. If you think I'm going to get some rubbing; let me know to get ready for lift. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thankx much and this site rules...THANX:)

the tires will clear with no problem, your speedo will read a little slower than your actual speed. My brother has 285/75R16's on his 97 Tahoe. What is the factory size on yours? The 285/75r16's are about 1.5 inches taller than the 265/70R17's but not quite as wide.

Currently my Tahoe has 275/70/16R's With some aftermarket American Racing wheels. They came with my truck when I purchased it. Thank you for your response; I might pick up my Eagles sooner than later. Any other responses would be greatly appreciated.

your new tires will be closer in size than I thought, maybe only about a half inch in heigth.

They will fit. A friend of mine has 33's on his 97 Tahoe... no problem that we've seen yet.

Again thank you for your input guys; I like the fact I could use this website for my resources to tune and generally know more about my rig. I have another question..How will these tires look with Eagle 194's. I mean will the tire be able to fit fair on a 10"wide rim. I don't want the tires to be too "streched out wide" Hit me back w/any info....THANX:)
