Tool box for 05 Crew

Does anyone know if the regular tool boxes will fit the 05 Crew cab? I'm talking about the one with the short bed.

Depends on what "regular" is. The bed is a standard width full-sized truck bed. However, the chop area occurs from the wheel well to the cab, it is much shorter than the short-bed's length from well to cab. So, if you have a deep-to-the-floor tool box, then you might have some interference with the wheel well.

 

I purchased a DeeZee over rail and it fits just fine. Here's a link:

But, if you had purchased one that rested on the bed, it would not fit for the above mentioned reason of space.

MY TOOL BOX THAT WAS THE CEST KIND WILL NOT FIT IN MY 1500 CREW. I HAD TO NOTCH THE TOOL BOX TO FIT AROUND THE WHEEL WELLS. SORRY AOUUT THE CAPS.
