I got stuck today in ice today. ERRRRRRRR I was on my parents drive way and I slid right off the dang thing. Well anyways I put it in 4 wheel drive and got out, but when I was getting out the abs light came on. Any ideas of what's going on?

Don't have much ice down here in S. Florida :fume: but if we put a vehicle on a lift and run the drive wheels, the ABS light will come on and a DTC will set after a short time.

The ABS sees wheel speed from the drive wheels, but no speed signal from the non-driven wheels and no brake apply, so it thinks there's a problem in the speed signal from the non moving wheels, rather than a panic braking event. I suspect this could easily happen on slick ice too.

The light doesn't come on instantly, so there's probably some logic in the software to account for these kinds of situations, but if you're spinning your wheels for more than a couple seconds, it could be what happened.
