Cold Idle Problems

My 2000 Suburban (~95k miles) idles very poorly at startup. It does not typically stall but it comes close. It idles poorly after sitting overnight and then runs fine almost immediately after getting it going down the road. The idle is not an issue for the rest of the day. My 2000 Silverado has never exhibited the same behavior so I suspect the electronic throttle control to be at least part of the problem.

 

I last had the engine flushed in July. Also put in new plugs at the same time. The flush helped for a while but the problem is back again.

 

This truck has semingly had some sort of "morning" idle issue to one degree or another since it was new. It has never been as bad as it is now.

 

I would appreciate any suggestions as to how to deal with this.

Have you tried cleaning the IAC Valve? This might help.
