Shocks on 98 Tahoe

Well im gonna try and see if shocks are what the problem on my tahoe. There is somthing really loose towards the rear of the Tahoe, and it has got worse since the ice that was here last week. When you come to a complete stop somthing in the rear makes a metal on metal scraping sound and it has the feeling of like a motor mount is lose or something connected to the frame/body has come loose and is rubbing and moving. So i thought i would start by replacing the shocks, what are some good shocks to put on these Tahoes, im not really going to be hauling anything with it and i plan on getting some 20" rims for it this summer. Thanks, and if you have any other suggestions on what the problem could be please let me know. Thanks, Josh

Are you sure that your brakes haven't worn down metal to metal? Sounds like all of the friction material has worn off of the rear shoes and the metal part of the shoe is scoring the drum.

(Shock-wise I really like the Bilstein HD's that I just installed a few months ago)

No its not the brakes, i checked them when i put new tires on and they are fine, it feels like when you stop the whole body towards the rear comes up then when you let off the brake to accelerate it sets back down and you feel it in the floor board and you can hear it squak like its metal to metal rubbing, like a mount some where in the rear is broke or really loose. I thought it might be a transmission mount but i havent been able to check. Its really bothering me because i dont have the slightest idea what it is and its getting worse.
