2 more weeks of research

Ok i know it's not a problem per say, but, I have been on the search for tires and wheels. It's tax time and I thought I'd jazz up the truck some. First I searched to see what the biggest tire that would fit easy (285's) Not big enough if I lift it next year. Stock wheels won't work with most lifts if you put bigger tires on. So then I started looking at lifts. To find what backspacing was needed and what size tire they recomended after lifting. I finally came to the conclusion that I would put 305 70 16 on 4 1/2 backspaced wheels and hope they didn't rub too bad even if I had to do a little triming. Well holy smokes batman the girlfriend(by the way it's her truck if she asks  ) is gettin back a tidy sum. I told her just give me $2000 and you can keep the rest. Now I have to start the research all over again. I now have to balance quality with quantity and do the whole shebang. Wheels, tire's and 6" lift, plus through in a tune of some sorts to get a little o the power back cause gears are not in the cards this year. wish me luck

You aren't gonna get better gears?  They aren't that expensive.  Good luck with the research.

Not yet I'm not. I plan on dropping $3200 for the other stuff. The gears will be done next year.

If your girl friend is going to give you $2000, you had better marry that girl!!

If you end up breaking up though, don't be suprised to find "her" truck on blocks in an attempt to get her money back!!! LOL
