vin number breakdown

I need to break down a vin number for a 2002 trailblazer I'm thinking about buying. I would also like to get the service records. Does anyone have any info. on this? I know it's 4x4 with the straight six and ls trim. Thanks

Take the VIN to a dealer and ask for the options list. The service records may be VERY difficult to come by, the dealers don't share a service record database, so if it was serviced in more than one place you're SOL. You're also SOL if you don't know where it was serviced. You may be able to find out who the previous owner was and ask them for the records. I still have records from my old truck in case a future owner cares to see them.
