Silly question

Can you go from 4LO to 4Hi or 2HI on the fly, push button style?? I would think not but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Not a good idea. If I remember correctly, you have to stop to shift from lo to high.

No you cannot...if you have the autotrac transfer case you must be in N (transmission) to shift to or from 4Lo to the other options, 4Hi, 2Hi or Auto. If you are not in N it will blink and not shift, staying in 4Lo unitl you are in N and are either stopped or gowing really slow, 2-3 mph...actually moving is better as it makes very little sound when you are slightly moving, if sitting still it makes quite a sound, but that is normal anyway.
