QUick Question:  What should be used to clean a mass air flow sensor?

I would say a cloth rag w/a little water on it and be careful, extremely careful.  Don't hit any of the stuff inside of it, otherwise you'll be looking for a new one.

How dirty is it?  Are you sure it needs cleaning?

 

As said above, be careful.  It'll cost you if you hurt the filaments, or electronics.

I'm not sure how dirty it is.  I went offroading and it looked like a little water got in the air intake tube.  It bogs down when I go to give it gas and it idles o.k. but stalls about every 20 minutes or so.  Also, I guess I should have said this but it's on a ford ranger not my z-71.  I don't know if it makes a difference in air flow sensors.
