VORTEC PERFORMANCE MODS

At the Impala SS forum they have a posting for all of the easy and not so easy mods that actually work. Does this forum have one? I did some searches and really did not find anything to help me out. How about posting here what you have done that has provided the best bang for the buck? I am trying to figure out what to do with my 99 Z71 Tahoe with the Vortec 5.7.

 

PCM reprogram. How much does that improve performance, mileage? Worth it?

Headers. How much does that improve performance, mileage? Worth it?

Cold Air Intake. How much does that improve performance, mileage? Worth it?

Ignition Upgrades. How much does that improve performance, mileage? Worth it?

Lighting improvements?

Suspension upgrades?

UHMW tape to get rid of squeaks?

 

 

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

think of your engine as an air pump any thing alows air in and out easier will increase power and millage. i have personally and extra 3-5 mgp by putting on full exhaust. headers back no less than dual 2.5 in to a 3" pipe edelbrok sells a nice headers and y pipe for that styl of truck with measurable gains.
