Steverado 99
Hey all, Would there be any reason that a 99 Sierra ext cab would be able to tow more than a 99 Silverado?I was just going thru my old 99 brochures for the Silverado and Sierra and found the max towing for a Sierra (4.8 3.73 ext cab 4x4) was 7400lbs and it was only 6500lbs for the same model but a Silverado. I don't plan on towing anything that heavy anyways, just curious to see if there was a difference between the two trucks.. Thanks!
Roofer
Welcome to the forum! There is no difference between silverado or Sierra in towing. The only real difference is what you can see. The only things that can change the towing capacity would be maybe a heavier set of springs, different gears, longer or shorter bed, ext cab vs. reg. cab.
