Truck going in for Line-x tomorrow

Well it's done. The truck goes in tomorrow for its Line-x. I've had a spray in done before (Speedliner) but the installer was local and I knew him. This time I'm driving around 100 miles for the Line-x. I don't know these guys and am a little nervous about turning my baby over to them. Those of you who've had the Line-x done is there anything I should look for or ask for. Don't want to have $400 worth of regrets tomorrow night. Again thanks for any input.

From everyone that I know thats had them put in, I haven't really heard any complaints. I am thinking of getting my 2004 thats 3 days old for me done with Line-X. Again, based on what I've heard, they seem to have a better warranty and whatnot than Rhino and some of the others. But that may have changed recently. Let me know how it turns out. I was going to get an estimate for my Extended Cab Standard Bed. I figured it was around 400 bucks.

I am very happy with my Line-X. It looks as good today as the day it was sprayed. One thing I wish I did different is how high I had it sprayed. I went with it under the rail. In hindsight I should have gone to the inside of the rail (the 1" or so lip on the inside of the rail). I don't like the look on top the rail, but the first time I had something large and metal in the bed (a roto-tiller) it leaned over and scratched that inside lip of the rail. I am thinking about going back and having just that poriton done, but haven't had the time. Just another idea for you. :happysad:

The only thing that terrified me about getting the liner was knowing that someone was going to sand on the new paint in the bed of my new truck. That was the only thing that really bugs me about it, but, with a lifetime warranty on the liner, and from friends that have had it for a while, I am happy with the results so far! The other thing I was worried about was leaving my truck with someone else! I'm really anal as to whom drives my vehicles!!!!

As it turns out, all went well and it's been three months since I had the liner sprayed in.

Good luck!!

The prep work is the most important thing about these spray in liners... Make sure that they remove all of the clear coat in the areas that they will be spraying... It is a bit unnerving to watch them take a sander to your new paint!

Had my Line-X for over 3 years now and could not be happier!

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I want the top lip of the bed next to the cab sprayed. Since I have the Crew cab it already has the plastic caps on the bed rails and they cover that one inch lip that highup1500hd was talking about, but good suggestion anyway. As soon as I get a chance I'll post some pix of the Line-x. Thanks again.

Well alls well that ends well! Guys at Line-x of Winston-Salem were SUPER. The owner even gave me his own truck (A Silverado I might add!!) to drive while they were doing my truck. They did an awesome job and I couldn't be more satisfied. If anyone in the Triad area of NC is looking for a spray in here's the place to go!

Anyway thought I'd upload a couple of pix of the job.

I also finally updated my sig and took a new picture with some of the $$goodies$$ I've added on since new. Thank goodness for a nice sunny day.

Thanks for all the suggestions on this topic.

My Linex dealer (Lansing, MI) also sprayed the rear area below the bed that is visible from behind between the bumper and bottom of the tailgate.
