Radio problem

I don't know what the proper term is for the information display on the radio. But I don't think it's working correctly.

The stations will display the correct station name. However, some stations will display the song title and artist when that particular song is playing. Kinda cool sometimes.

But latley, the info display is not listing the correct song title and artist???

Anyone know what's going on here?

I've seen that happen before. I think it's actually the station causing the problem- they are the ones that actually set the information that is sent out with the rest of their signal and decoded for display by your radio, and sometimes they screw up. (Saw a misspelled group's name recently too. :happysad:)

This is always the fault of the station. The radio is not capable of making up an artist name and song title all on its own. :happysad: This happens frequently with one station down here.

The term you were trying to think of is RDS - Radio Data System.
