1500HD and 2500HD

I searched hell and highwater looking for a thread on this I know it has had to been asked a million times......

 

Does the 1500HD use the green keys or the ford keys?

The 1500HD uses the Purple Keys(Part#15045171) and the GK torsion Bars(8615 ft.lbs of Torque.)(Part #15528963-Left and #15528964-Right). The 2500HD and 3500 use the purple keys as well but they use the GL bars(8782 ft lbs of torque).

So that would mean the Green keys would lift the same as in the 2500 becuase only difference is the torsion bars

If your looking to just level out your truck then the stock purple keys will work fine, if you want to get more lift in the front then use the Green keys. As you can see there is not much difference between the GK and the GL bars.I just noticed we're almost neighbours.

Lance (Jacqson), our Tacoma neighbour was asking (at least partly) on my behalf as he has a set of green keys gathering dust. I was going to call you to get your opinion on leveling out my truck but I lost your phone number. We weren't sure if his keys would be what I need for my 1500HD but what you are telling me is that all I need to do is crank the stock bars and I should be OK. I will follow up with you in a PM soon.

 

Josh, thanks for the phone call yesterday and for following up. If I get a little more agressive on the lift, I will get back to you.

 

Lance, you have bars. Are they still available? Maybe you and Josh (Wile1) should package your 4-sale items if someone would be needing both???
