need help on removing body side molding

when you are getting ready to apply heat to the body side molding have

you already popped off the black plastic part, and revealed the hangers

underneath, or do you heat the whole thing and then start peeling

it slowly off. i am talkng about the molding on the driverside door and passenger door, ect. please let me know. thanx

Im not sure what your talking about with the hangers. When I took mine off I waited till it was hot out and kept the truck in the sun for awhile and just pulled them off. i didnt have much luck with the hair dryer....it made the glue very sticky and actually harder to remove. You will be surprised how much glue stays on the molding if you just pull them slowly off in the sun. Its a pain getting all the glue off...you have to sit there with your thumb and kind of roll it off...then use denatured alcohol to get the rest off...then wax the rest of the residue off. Yes your thumb will be sore. good luck!!

No hangers just two sided tape.
