my camaro is 1969 #332....

I wonder what RS number it was? if I could prove one of the first 1's, that'd be SWEET

getting some help now on proving it is an RS, but there is not much reason to believe otherwise...sine there is nothing on the car proving it(VIN and body tag did't contain model codes for RS cars), and all body "ques" coulda have been altered/added during the restoration....but it would been better to fake an SS($500 in disc brake sawp, and boom you get a 5K higher asking price), so I doubt it's fake

it's got, right now a 2.73 ten bolt...I've already contact Moser on my option for a bolt in ford 9"...I'll probably get that with wilwod pro-street four pison brake kit within the next few years.

a guy on TeamCamaro had a car very similiar to mine as it is now powertrain wise, he ran a best 13.5 with consistant 13.7s...after a rear end swap(I think to 3.73s) he ran 13.2s.

so, facn8me, what was your Blazer running? now that I have a good guess on mine?

Snake I really don't know. I have never had it out for times. I had to drive it everyday so beatin on it at the track was not an option. I am sure I have driven it harder at times on the street than I would at the track. All I can gauge by is the cars I've beat on the street. I have absolutely embarrased new mustangs. I ran a guy in a mustang II with a v8 and smoked him. The closest race I've had was a big block malibu wagon. I figure street tires thru the mufflers 13's depending on traction. We need to head out to the drags and get some time's. Can you believe that wreck at the dragstrip last week  That was just messed up. We need to go around the 1st.

For those that do not know a top alcohol dragster driver Shelly Howard lost control of her car when it went airborne at 1/8 mile it landed facing the other way wide open with Shelly passed out. Her car headed back towards the starting line impacting her chase vehicle at a estimated 250mph. Her handicapped son was in the car. Her husband watched from the starting line. The impact ejected both Shelly and her son while coming to rest 150 yrds away.

you forgot to add that the trhottle was a WOT, the entire time it was closing in on the truck it hit, and the vehicle it hit was appearently the truck they used to tow the drag car in, I think.

still that was crazy, a real one off wreck, so many things went "perfectly" wrong, landed exactly going teh wrong way, the throttle was STUCK at WOT(odd), and it was aimed dirctly at the truck, which her son happened to be in at the time....crazy

the first? ooo, the engine won't be broken in by then. I'm at around 1,300 miles, and I still haven't bought a spare set of rear wheels with slicks(I'll need them on these current tires squeal going in to 2nd at half throttle)
