CD Player

The factory CD player in my 99 Silverado 2500 will not work properly, it never did, since I owned the truck, it will skip in the driveway stopped. I have been looking around for a aftermarket unit with a nice faceplate however I can't believe you couldn't fix the factory unit. I have used a cleaner in it twice with no success and it just seems such a waste to have to toss it. the AM/FM works great. Any ideas out there. TKS Neil

Throw it, you can find a good one at a junk yard or ebay.
