anyone figure away to disconnect the panic switch on the key fob, i continously hitting it by accident. and lookin like an ass when the truck starts doing its horn dance. its really pissin me off and the button seems to be getting more touchy all the time..

Open the remote up and put some scotch tape over the area of the panic button.

STUPID GM electronics designers. I know what you mean I just stopped useing the remote alltogether.

I don't have to worry about it...Mine won't work until I'm about a foot away from my truck and then it's 50-50 if it's gonna work.

I opened mine and cut the trace coming from the panic switch contact with an exacto knife.

I found a fix for when my remotes started only working within 10 feet of the truck. I would open them up and take rubbing alchohol and a qtip and lightly wipe the bottom of the buttons and the pc board contacts. Worked every time, I would clean them about every 4 - 6 months. It is amazing how cruddy they get just from being in your pocket

I opened mine up and put a little piece of electrical tape over the contact pad under the panic button. Worked great.

Scotch tape for me has held up well.
