Any tips to getting into the into the dash on my 99 Suburban?I don't see even where to start.Need to replace radio.

if it's the same as my '95, the outer trim on the dash snaps in place, it's one piece around the instrument panel, heater control, and radio. it just pulls off, then you can get to the gauge cluster, radio and controls.

If it's anything like the Silverado or the Sierra, the dash  trim piece from next to the driver side door all the way to the other side of the radio is one piece and it just snaps into place.

To remove, using a flat object, like a knife or putty knife, starting at the outter most edge left of the steering wheel, insert blade and pry loose.  Once started, you work your way across.  To simplify things, if you have a tilt wheel, lower the steering colume to it's lowest and with ignition off and parking brake engaged, place gear shifter to it's lowest position.

On some models, perhaps yours, you may have to remove the vent grills first.  Looking in the vent grills you'll see tabs at the top and bottom, pry these to release vents.

After trim is out of the way, the radio is held in with tabs on both sides.  Sqweeze them towards bottom of radio to release and slide radio out.
