Avalanche mud flaps

Do any of the Av guys here have mud flaps on their trucks?  My buddy just picked up his 2500 8.1L Av yesterday (see the Av and the deer topic in the general forum).

 

He has the factory steps on his Av and they are full of slush and road crap and he says he needs flaps.  

 

Does GM or someone else make a molded flap for the Av?  And do you know the part number???

I bought mine from GM Parts Direct  (Should get some sort of discount for this?:notice: )

These mud flaps "Carry-over" the "notched" pattern from the lower side cladding of the AV. Looks pretty sweeeeet. This is a borrowed pic (not my truck) :blush:

Geez they want $15 for shipping or about $65 overall...

 

I'll tell him though...  they are much nicer than the Walmart stuff...

I ordered a set of 4 along with a bug shield. I think the total with shipping was $115.

 

Yeh, their shipping is Pricey.

 

I will also tell you that the "tire" side of the mud guards are not "flat". They are the "reverse" imprint of the "finished" side. I only mention this because being designed this way they tend to catch and "store" whatever the tire throws at them and can be a pain to clean out.

I agree with everything bshef said about the flaps.  I put them on my AV2500 and it matches the trucks really really well.

You can get the protection package for $115 (4 flaps, bug shield, 4 ventvisors). I didn't, because I wanted the Weathertech ventvisors. It cost me almost as much for just mud flaps and bug shield. I should have bought the protection package and then sold the stick on ventvisors to somebody.

When I priced out the parts in Canada, the separate pieces were about $25 cheaper than buying kit.  Go figure.

The Husky flaps I have on my truck are the same way, but the do a good job, and that is what's important.  I like those flaps on the Av.
