Aero Force OBD2 Scan Gauge

Hello everyone. New member to the site. I've been reading for awhile but just started posting.

Has anyone tried this new gauge? It looks pretty cool. I was looking to buy a transmission temp gauge and found this. Does anyone know if the Transmission temp is broadcast on the OBD2 port for my truck. I don't think I could pass this up if it will give me tranny temp and use as a scan tool along with all the other cool stuff like timing info and knock information.

I believe that the trans temp is on ODBII for you tahoe.

I have a 02 LT Tahoe and I also like this gague. Do you

have any ideas on where you are going to mount it? I would

like get some ideas.

I had three different ideas on mounting.

1. Gauge pod on door pillar

2. Front left corner of center console (next to cup holders)

3. Storage compartment just to the right of A/C controllers. Just under center air vent.

I was leaning toward #3. I was thinking of getting a flat piece of black plastic and glueing it to the back side of the dash trim. Then cutting the proper sized hole for the gauge. I want it somewhere easily accessible because I believe I will be messing with it ALLOT. This storage compartment isn't much good now that I have the wester's PCM. Everything I put in there ends up in the center console after every stoplight.

Yes, it does read out tranny temp, and lots more. I have a pre-production sample gauge. It is all it says it is. Very cool to see actual timing and knock retard as you're driving. The record feature is awesome too. I've taped mine in different locations, but like the pillar best, mounted in one of the pillar pods. I am a dealer for these, contact me off line, they will be available and I will get my first shipment about the end of this month.

Cool. I knew some of the HD's had a tranny temp gauge but I didn't know if mine had the sensor in the tranny from the factory. Sounds like I'm in luck.

Butch - Nice to hear from someone who has actually used one. I'll contact you offline as soon as I'm ready to part with some $$.

As a matter of fact , Yes!!!

As I mentioned, I was beta testing a pre-production AeroForce gauge. I actually found a couple of software glitches in my pre-production sample that they are correcting now. I should have another sample in a week to test again. Good company, they won't release them until they are 100%, that's the way I work too, I only sell products that will pass my high standards like the Wester's tuning and the Outlaw. I tested them before I took them on too!

I think we should have the AeroForce gauges available for shipping in

about 3 weeks if the next sample tests out perfect. I'll post when I have a firm shipment date. Outlaws are shipping now, about 3 days delivery from order date.

Cool,

I did some searches on the net for these, and seems they are a hit with the GTO message board, they already have there's. As well as another site(cant remember what car it was).

Anyways, can you share some pictures of the one you have in your truck? and a show different readings?

Especially the trans temp setting.

On the beta version you have, does it keep it settings. say you want to see the trans temp displayed all the time. when you start your truck back up does it go to your last view, or due you need to scroll to get back to that?

Thanks a ton.

I didn't take any pics of the gauge yet, but the readouts are very clear and sharp. There is a brightness control to adjust for your own liking, and you can choose black on white or white on black didplay. The two readouts are one on top of the other, and there is a button on each side to choose what you want to display for each. Once you choose what you want it will stay untill you change it. It turns on and off with the truck and your chosen display will be there when you turn the key back on. Nothing to turn on or off, just plug it in to the ADL port and mount the gauge, nothing else to hook-up. I'm quite impressed with these!

I am seriously thinking about one or even two if they are the correct price. Any idea on price point other than what their site says?

Funny you should ask!!!

I just measured the cable length needed to mount them in the overhead console and Aeroforce is going to make the cable long enough to mount them there. They should fit fine in the front cubby-hole in the overhead, but you'd have to make a custom mount. I'll have the sample gauge back this week for final testing. If all is good, next week I'll be taking orders!!
