Disable the red horn button

Recommended Posts

Tried to search for the topic because I'm sure it's been discussed, but did not turn up any info. I'm sick of accidentally setting off the red button and want to disable it. What method(s) have you used?

I opened the remote (the same way you would to change the battery) and I put a little piece of electrical tape over the contact pad under the panic button. Worked great or should I say it doesn't work anymore

I opened min up and if you look at the underside of the horn pad, there is a small black pad... that is the conductive material, I cut/ripped it off, no more horn problem...
