Painted bowtie

Hey guys,

Does anybody know if someone sell's a painted bowtie? I need one black to match my tahoe. I found one on ebay when I had my '04 silverado but I can't find them anymore. Does anybody know?

You could do it yourself actually, and it would be a lot cheaper than buying one online. Just take the stock one off, sand it down with like 1000 grit sandpaper, lay down a few base coats of white (let it dry between each coat), then a few coats of black (again let it dry between each coat), and a few coats of clear coating.

 

If you decide to do it that way, make sure you do it in an area where you won't get any dust or crap on it.

I got mine on eBay. Just do a search for "billet bowtie" or "billlet chvy". They're pretty reasonably priced. . .and best of all, it's solid aluminum vs. the solid plastic of the stock emblem.
