Chevy HX4 Pickup?

I got this email from a buddy of mine this morning. Does anyone know what this truck is? Early '07s? Some dealer specials? He saw these trucks in northern Michigan:

 

Only in Cheboygan have I seen not one, but two new Chevy Pickups, model HX4, looks all pimped out and simelar to escalade styling. Radical styling, much larger dimensions, higher stance, similar to the recent Ford F150, fender liners attached with stainless hex cap screws, plus full stainless fuel door and cap assembly attached with stainless screws...very sanitary. All door handles and tailgate handles were chromed.

 

Several boaters going by could see the one on the parking lot from the river and did a double take and came back for a looksee...remarked what is that? looks great!

 

I didn't think the new GM pickup was in production yet. In the old days, GM execs would drive pre-production vehicles around, but these were both from a dealer.

That's just a conversion company truck.

Yes, the guy who bought my OE tonneau cover lives in northern Michigan and said they are tricked out SD2500 duramax units that a number of dealers sell up there. Mystery solved.
