P1336 code

Can anyone help me out with removing a code from my truck?

I installed a Wester's PCM (works awesome BTW) and I had to do the relearn and all. Once I got her running, the service engine light was on. So I went and borrowed a scan tool, an Actron 145. It says I have two codes, a P1336 and a P1336 that has a small "p" and "d" after it.

I called Wester's and talked to Lydon. He tried to help me out, but said that my scan tool probably wasn't going to be able to do it. He wasn't sure though, and being I don't know how to use the thing, there could be something I'm missing. He says it's a crank relearn code.

This is pretty much Japanese to me, but does anyone know how I get this code taken care of? I can get it to the dealer, but it's gonna be a while as my schedule is really booked for the next several weeks.

It's a 2001 2500HD 6.0 if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

The code is a crank position code and a dealer will more than likely have to perform a crank position relearn. It is common for this code to come up after programming (even at the dealer). :chevy:

01, it's really not a big deal. It may go away after a few cycles. If it doesn't, then yes, you will need to see someone to turn it off.

But know that it will not effect anything about the operation of the engine or anything else. It's just a reporting tool.
