Was just at my local tire shop shopping for 285/75R16's, the one thing that struck me about these Wranglers was they were considerably WIDER than other 285's. Very nice looking tire. Wonding if any one has tried these? Any truck pics with these? thanks! :banghead:

They may look wider, but tire sizes are pretty absolute, not a lot of variance from brand to brand (some, but not HUGE differences). It's 285mm wide...Same as the rest.

Oh, and if you're wanting those, you should probably check out Big-O tires. They have a couple of similar tread patterns. They also have better customer service, and a much better warranty.

My buddy just put a set of 285/75R16 Wrangler Silentarmor's on his HD and loves them,When I wear out my AT/S's thats what I'm going with.

My tire dealer tells me that they haven't been out long enough to get any feedback or see how there going to hold up,But if they hold up like the AT/S's I've had they will hold up and wear quite good,I've been able to get 50,000+miles on the AT/S's and they go like a tank in the deep heavy wet snow.

I bought the Silent Armor Wranglers about two months ago, 285/75/R16 which fit perfectly w/o any adjustment on the torsion bars. I don't do a lot of heavy off-roading so clearances aren't a huge concern, and they don't rub anywhere lock-lock so I'm happy. They ride really well, and are quiet. I obviously haven't tried them in the snow/ice yet, but they are rated very high and approved for severe weather conditions. All in all a great tire, pretty expensive though. I figure if they last like they're supposed to then it will be worth it.

gotta ride better than mt/r's

I hope so. What terrible handling tires these MT-Rs are. Of course, according to somebody at the factory in Flint (I took a tour of the plant in January), GM only gives Goodyear $9.00 a unit for them.

I've always been a Goofyear fan. I've got 275/55R20 Eagle GT II's on my '05 crew cab and love them. Goodyears are a little more expensive BUT you seem to get what you pay for with tires!!! No sense paying $ 30,000 for a nice vehicle and then skimp on the shoes!! ; )
