cup holders

Does anybody know if GM makes a cup holder that will fit into the dash of a 2002 pickup without a console.

The older new body style trucks had cup holders in the dash. Maybe one could be retrofited for your truck.

Yours are in front of the center section of your split bench, right?

yeah, mine were on the front of the center seat, but I added the JL Audio stealthbox and the cup holders would not longer fit because to the speaker

On the '99s and 00's the cupholders folder up and out from the bottom center of the dash. It was kinda like a big ashtray type looking thing. Check and see if there is a large panel in the center section of your dash towards the middle or bottom that can be removed. If so, I bet you could install cupholders from a previous year in there.

You may have to go to a dealer and look at a used Silverado to get a better idea of the cup holders. I have a picture (from my old '00) but the cup holder is folded up... let me upload it and post it.

If you look right below the ashtray and Aux power outlets in the center of the dash, you'll see the raised panel. That folds out to reveal 2 cup holders. If your truck has a "dummy" panel there, then you should be able to put one of these in it's place.

Let us know what you find out. I have a 02 Av with bench seats and would like to have 2 more cup holders on the dash. Under the ash tray and power outlet there is a big blank that looks like a good spot for a couple more cup holders. Keep us posted.

Shaner that picture of the dash looks just like the AV dash. I hope that cup holder works.

I think these would work on the Av because the dash should be the same from '99-'00.

I think GM moved the cupholders to the front of the center section of the bench because these cupholders were awkward to use, and in the '99 models there were a few that got broken from use/abuse. I never had a problem with mine... and if I remember right, they were big enough to fit something larger in there too... like an insulated coffee mug, or your favorite canned beverage in a "huggie".
