I bought this for ~$55.

It works great. Installing the lock mechanism is fairly straight forward it take a couple minutes to line it up with the tailgate handle but it's not hard at all. The hardest part is running the wire to your fuse box. I tired for half an hour to get the wire through the firewall but never had any luck. I finally went through a spot in the door frame.

The product works great, when the tailgate locks you can hear it. It echoes in the almost empty tailgate. All the wiring and parts were top quality.

 

I would defiantly suggest this brand to anyone wanting a tailgate lock. The quality was better than other brands I have seen on ebay, etc.

I had this on my truck to compliment my PaceEdwards Jack Rabbit tonneau, but unfortunately did not have good luck with it. It looked like a quality piece, but about 6 months after installation the electronic actuator siezed in the locked position. Pace Edwards was great about warranting the part and got it sent to me right away. Unfortunately, about two months after that, the replacement actuator siezed also. At that point I just removed it and installed a Bully manually locking unit. Hopefully you'll have better luck with it than I did.

Hey guys,

I have had my power lock for three years no problem.

It an 03 so you have to connect it to the door switch inside the a pain but works great!!
