Stock Alarm

Tell me something, does the stock alarm system go off only when the doors are opened,or glass broken? Can other things like thunder, loud sounds etc.. cause the alarm to sound? I was at work today and heard my alarm sound, I went to check it out and didn't see anything wrong. However, there was some heavy/loud construction equipment operating right near it. I thought this alarm only went off when a door was opened, let me know your thoughts. thanks.

I think you're right about the alarm. I wasn't aware of loud noises setting it off.

I have had my keys in my pocket before and sat down or bumped into something and the I must have hit the "panic" button because it started beeping...

The truck alarms aren't as sophisticated as the ones on some of the GM cars and vans, however they are good for a discount through your insurance company though.

The only thing I've seen set off the alarm, sound wise, was an F/A-18 Hornet in afterburn taking off. It'll do it every time.

I always hear alarms on the 4th of July during the fireworks. The boom sets 'em off, construction probably could too-

Wow. I wasn't aware that noise would set them off. I have accidently hit the panic button and it has gone off. I'll have to tell my wive not to yell at me or she'll upset the truck when UPS arrives and I've ordered another "thing" from Mid-american.
