I installed my PCM today...only have about 25 miles on it....the main thing i have noticed is my valve rattle at hard throttle....gonna try 89 octane on the next fill up....seems to have more punch at 50 mph or so.....havent noticed much else...i was told by virtually everyone that it needs 300 to 500 miles to "learn", so i will update every few days to let you know....a friend and i BOTH got one for our 05 trucks, and we will be letting everyone know our thoughts...mine was a 87/89 and his is a 91, both with the tow/haul ass mode. He pulls a trailer, i dont...so, we will see....and keep everyone updated.

i have the valve rattle thing at full throttle also. I just live with it and I use 93 all the time.

You guys sure what you are hearing isn't pinging? My Hypertech used to ping to the point I felt it was not good for the engine as it can eventually eat a hole in the piston. When I swapped in my wait4me tune, the pinging went away.

If you have spark knock you better contact Jesse. Your engine wont last long with it. Also you may want to have a tech use a scanner and go for a ride with you and watch for spark knock counts. My tune dosent knock & i have towed a trailer with mine.

UPDATE!! DAY 2

Well....after i drove for about 30 miles, the pinging has all but stopped...was definitely a valve rattle....i guess the puter just had to "learn" my truck. The one thing that is most noticeable right now, with less than 150 miles since the install, is that the truck feels like lower gears were put in it....it came with 3:23's, and just had the "FEEL" of 3:73's. Shifting is nice and tight, kickdown from 50mph and up is awesome. Gonna make about a 500 mile trip with it this weekend, and should know a LOT more when i get back on monday. So far, im happy with what i got for the money....im not OVERLY impressed, but that could change if the fuel mileage goes up 2 or 3mpg. I know everyone says that it takes 400 or 500 miles before you really can FEEL the difference, so i should know after this weekend....OH YEAH...the idle just seems to get smoother and smoother..
