I thought I should put this here instead of the Aftermarket section, so everyone can see it.

I bought a set of Weld Racing wheels and BFG tires from 4wheelparts. The wheels started chipping up and rusting, even before winter. I sent them back and 4wheelparts sent me out a new set. It took awhile for them to get me the right wheels with the right offset, but through a few returns and alot of phone calls, I finally got them. Anyhow, the second set was starting to do the same thing, and it was summer. I call them and tell them what had happened, and they said send some pictures and we will look into it. I never got a call for at least 4 months. Today I got their new catalog, and it had a few pages about how good their customer satisfaction was, so I called them again and mentioned the article and they tell me now that Weld is not warrantying their wheels for me because of where I live!! They said that they cannot warranty any wheels if they are in a climate that has salt on the roads. I told them that I have had AR wheels in the past and they never gave me any trouble, and now these more expensive, supposedly better wheels are really a pain. They say that the president of their company and Weld Racing are telling the salespeople not to warranty any wheels that have a chance of being exposed to salt. Now tell me, where in the country can wheels not be exposed to salt? Along the Ocean shores there is salt all over in the air, and most everywhere else there is salt on the roads for ice sometime during the year. How do you guys feel about this? I think they should stand behind their product as long as it isn't abused. With this all said, beware of the warranty when you buy wheels, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND WELD RACING WHEELS to anyone.

What do you all think?

That sounds funny to me. If I were you I would call Weld Wheels and ask. I have meet the Family that owns Weld Wheels. Their the nicest bunch of folks I have meet. Im pretty sure they wouldnt pull something like that. Hell, Kansas City uses a lot of salt ont he roads and Weld is based in the Westbottoms here in Kansas City.

I'd be making a lot more calls if I were you.  Their logic doesn't stand up since you haven't even gone through the winter months yet and the problem showed up in the summer.  Call the BBB if you have to and file a complaint.
