delco aux input schematic do it yourself link?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I ran across a link at one point that had a do it yourself aux input how to, showed a schematic, components, etc. I would really like to find that again, but cannot locate it and was wondering if anyone else has stumbled across it.

I'm trying to get a 1/8" jack as an aux input to my factory 00 head unit so I can play dvd's through my laptop and my factory stereo, just went on a trip and the fm modulator i bought S U C K S.

Thanks in advance. :chevy:

Here is the schematic...there really isn't too much to it, pretty easy to install. All you need in addition to this is a Y adapter from RCA to 1/8" headphone jack, from Radio Shack. Here is a link to the adapter: GM-AUX9

preciate the reply man, but this is the installation diagram, not the schematic. ;)

I was looking for the schematic so I could get the components and build it myself, the website I was referring to was pretty in depth, and was very thorough. I've got a degree in electronics and spend all day designing circuit boards, so it was right up my alley.

I ended up just getting a Jensen VM-9510 from circuit city (good online sale), I pussed out and the wife talked me into it, guess she didn't like white knuckling the oh chit bar, holding the laptop, and trying to watch a movie.
