what is the latest update to the 4x4 drive line clunk during shifting? My dealer said it can't be fixed. It appears to be to much slop in the drive line.

i think you just have to periodically slather some grease on the t-case output splines (where it mates to the rear driveshaft).

I recall a TSB on this. Seems that there is an improved driveshaft yoke and the aforementioned grease that will minimize the clunk. Keep digging...

GM sells a Nickel plated slip yoke that is suppose to fix the problem. I spoke to my mechanic about this and he said that its not a permanent fix. I got mine lubed up inside the teeth. I can still hear and feel the clunk every so often but it is better.
