Yeah, there are a couple of people that have gotten them to fit, but I doubt they can go lock to lock without rubbing in 4 places.

I think they look too balloony on a non-lifted truck anyway...But that's just me.

So guys do u think a set of 305/70/16 would look and fit ok with a set of 16/8 rims?

:( i dont really want to lift the truck because i am on the interstate ALL the time

Personally, I'd stick with the 285/75/r16's. Heck, mine rubbed pretty bad when I put the aftermarket rims on, until I trimmed the airdam...Anything bigger would probably cause more problems than they're worth.

Oh, and going wider (305/315) will probably hurt you on the highway, at least in fuel economy anyway. Larger contact patch = more drag, larger tires = more rolling mass too.

I have an OBS z-71 ext cab with a 6" RCD suspension lift and before the 3" body lift went on, I had to trim the front fascia (air dam-whatever its called) and it still rubbed a little on the rear front fender. I have 315/75/r16s. that equates to 35x12.5R16. Personally I wouldnt think about puttin 35s on your truck without a lift, plus it puts more stress on parts like driveaxles and steering. Also you would need a 8" wheel or get custom backspacing, or both for the 33"er.

Dont forget to re-align your truck after crankin your bars, cuz your tires will wear unevenly if you dont. Trust me on this.
