Spray in Bed Liners?

I have a choice in my area of Line X, Bullhide or Rhino Linings. I am sure there are more but these are the names that I recognize. Which one do guys have and do you like it?

I've got a Line-X, holding up pretty well I'd say. My guess is they're all pretty much equal. Probably the installer makes all the difference.

I have a rhino and i'm happy with it. Only thing not completely positive is that it has faded a bit from the sun. Still looks fine, just not shiny like when it was new. If i cared i might be able bring some of that shine back by scrubbing it though.

Go to the installers and check out their rides. I bet they have them. Don't look at their samples in the show room. It won't have any wear on it.

The true test for me on a spray in liner is how it holds up to fading over the years.

So far I have only seen Rhino and here in Texas, they do pretty darn good.

The GM dealer last year here tried to do their own in-house liners and they sucked. Faded and scratched easy, sloppy install.. :dupe:

I like my Line-X. It looks a lot better when finished. I've seen quite a few Rhino liners...and although it may be the place(s) that are applying it...it looks like crap in my opinion. Its all rough and uneven. Line-X has a more finished look to it. Down side is, it seems to cost a little more than the Rhino Lining.

I've had both Rhino and Line-x; one each in my last two trucks. The Rhino seems to be prone to fading a little more. Rhino seems more rubbery and doesn't let things slide around as much. Line-x seems to be tougher for wear purposes. The biggest thing about either is the installer. Take a look at someone's work before you let them touch your truck. All things being equal I'd opt for Line-x. Also, if you have a Speedliner installer in your area I had a really good experience with that in a previous truck as well. Best of luck with whatever your decide.

I have a Permatech that I've had no problems with.  This is the wrong area for this post though.  Moving...

Sorry I guess I was't aware of the posting rules and different sections. Just asking a general question.

No problem, good to go now.  Sometimes these general questions are hard to put in a spot.

The liner itself really doesn't matter as much as the prep work that goes into it. I prefer rhino myself. Make sure they scuff up the whole bed first and then mike it out with acetone or something similar and you shouldn't have any problems.

I have had the rhino lining installed in my last 3 trucks. I really like it. Have not had any problems with it to speak of. My co-worker has Line-X which seems to be quite similiar to the rhino lining. May have a little more grip then the rhino & possibly does hold up a little better to fadding from the sun. However it's hard to tell at this point as his is only a year or less old. (time will tell). Mine is at least 3 years old. If the price is the same I'd say probably give the Line-X a try. There again as some of the other responses stated, just be sure that the location you choose is good at the actual preperation & spray on of the liner.
