2000 Sierra

My GMC Sierra has about 109K on it. Up to about a month ago it had no problems. It has started to stall during start up. I replaced sparks and wires just recently and it had no effect. I replaced the fuel pump with the faulty fuel gage about 9k ago.

It does this occasionally, mostly after it has been on for a while and then off. Would it be the battery, if it is occasionally the problem?

Is it the starter? Or is it some electronic issue related to fuel supply?

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

It depends on where you live and the quality of the fuel you buy. I live in Alaska and have to change my fuel filter (inline on 2000 rado) every 15-20k due to the crap fuel in remote areas I'm forced to use. I think GM recommends every 20k.

Another problem can be plugged fuel injectors. There are a lot of posts about how to clean them, etc... Pull your fuel rails and take a look. They might need a cleaning. After you've cleaned them, try running a good quality injector cleaner additive every couple fill ups.
