LOADEDGUN Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 My 2001 K-1500, normal driving, when coming to a harder than normal stop, the rear brakes don't seem to grab enough to help stop. Is there an adjustment that can be made? You have to push quite hard on pedal for hard stop. Any ideas?
GM-Tech Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Makes sense that if you want to make a harder/faster stop, you're going to have to press harder on the pedal. Is it excessive? I don't know. Is there an adjustment you can make? No. I don't know what else to tell you.

You may want to remove them from the rotor and inspect them. Are the pads worn? What leads you to believe the rear brakes are the issue?
