ABS Light

Hey guys...01 Z71 5.3.....My brake light is on in my dash....Emergency brake isnt pushed and the brake fluid is at proper level....Dealer says its some kind of 250.00 sensor that isnt covered by my extended warranty...Any idea what sensor can make my brake light stay on all the time ? And what sensor this may be ...Kindof pricey to me.....

is there a constant humming coming from under the cab? If so your ABS computer is toast and it's going to be upwards of $1000 to fix. Mine went out two years ago so i just pulled the fuse. No more ABS but that's ok with me.

 

If it's not that then consider yourself luck and getit fixed. Wheel speed sesors are easy to do yourself and save some $$$

My dads had the exact same problem, his was out of warranty too, but he somehow got the 1000 dollar part put in under warranty.

double check your warranty, this should be considered either a safety issue or a driveline thing in my opnion.
