radio button lights

one by one all of the lights went out on the radio in my 1997 k3500, the display for the station/clock works but none of the buttons light up. Are there bulbs or anything that can be replaced? thanks a bunch for your help.

Hey, same problem.....on my presets, 2 and 5 light up, but the other four are dark. Only two were out up until a month or so ago, now two more have gone out. If you get any answers...maybe an auto audio shop? Think I'll check that out.

The bulbs can be replaced fairly easily, you just need to be careful in disassembly and soldering. Once you get the radio out carefully find how to remove the face, doing so will expose the bulbs. then you must remove the board the bulbs are attached to (probably the hard part) unsolder the old bulb solder in new. Pay attention to size of bulbs and location, they must be an exact replacement (wattage or whatever) or the radio will not illuminate properly. Also look out for seperate LED's (the Theftlock activated one for example). I have done this in my NBS Silverado, so without looking to see what trucks or stereo's you guys have this is fairly generic.
