Rattle from right rear

The past two weeks, I've noticed a squealing noise coming from the right rear of my 02. I dont know exactly how to describe it but it sounds like a rotating squealing noise if that makes any sense. One of my buddies was riding with me the other day and he told me it was the brake pad on the right side and his was like that when he got it(used). He said it was from somebody power-braking the truck in the past. Said he replaced his brake pads and it quit. Mine makes this squealing noise while driving at all speeds even when not applying the brakes; however, it doesnt make it sitting in neutral. Can anyone help identify where the problem is coming from?
