PCV Valve

When my truck was still in warranty I took it in for oil comsumption. The dealer replaced the PCV valve with a new one and the oil comsumption stopped completly. But now there is a whistling noise from the motor when I slow down. Do yall think the oil comsumption would come back if I replaced the PCV valve with a brand new one? The dealership said they replaced it with a 2002 PCV valve. What should I do? Anyone else had any experience with this? Thanks in advance! :D

The whistle could be coming from a lot of things besides the PCV. Check for a vacuum leak, like a hose off somewhere, or air sucking in around the intake somewhere. New PCVs are cheap if you want to try another one though. Maybe you got a bad one.

I just took it in for an oil change and stuff and asked the dealer to check the noise out. They said they couldn't hear it and there was nothing wrond with the motor, so. I am probably just going to replace the PCV valve and see what happens.  ???
