I gotta paint the picture......we are moving, got 2 Lawn Tractors (dead) in garage at back of property that have to go....no driveway. We had 10-12 inches of Snow, "I'll drag 'em thru the Snow", I tell the Wife. I hook the bigger Tractor to the front tow hook (pulling backward)....no problem....Wife very impressed.......then went back for the small Tractor, hooked the same, going backward.....truck went 3ft, then stopped moving.....rear wheels spinning....nothing from the front wheels....ABS Light on....had to turn it around and use my hitch.....Wife no longer impressed....now a joke told to our friends how "Rick's big truck couldn't do the job".......what happened :D

What happened? You got punked by your wife. She pulled your front driveshaft yesterday.

Seriously, sounds like maybe your actuator might have went south. Did you try it going forward?

Do it with a running start...And get it on video when the line goes taut. :D

Can't tell you why you couldn't pull it, but the ABS light came on because it saw rear wheel speed input but nothing from the front wheels.

....Yes she did....that I didn't mind

I did try giving it a running start, as soon as it felt all the weight of that 8hp Lawn Tractor, truck got stuck. When I turned the truck around and pulled forward, it was no problem.....ABS Light even went out......also got very close to getting stuck this morning towing an empty Garden Tractor :D

Anytime I try to redeem myself in the wifes eye stupid stuff like this happens.

Last time it was telling her how easy it would be for me to swap out the old thermostat in the house to a new digital one, well let me tell you she was real impressed with the FIRE DEPARTMENT that had to come to put the fire out! Now I am a low voltage contractor never the less an Engineer for the phone company, so I was even more embarrassed. Turns out the new thermostat was jumpered for 12v not the standard 24v. Well 1/2 the voltage =2X the amperage and fried the wire in the wall.

Redneck famous last words " Hey y'all watch this!"
